District Receives "Recognized" Rating

Dr. Lani Randall is very pleased to announce that the Port Neches-Groves Independent School District has received a Recognized rating from the Texas Education Agency for student performance on the 2010 TAKS assessment.  Five elementary campuses received a rating of Exemplary, the highest possible rating.  These campuses include Ridgewood Elementary, Taft Elementary, Van Buren Elementary, Groves Elementary, and Port Neches Elementary.  Four other campuses in the district received a Recognized rating including Woodcrest Elementary, Groves Middle School, Port Neches Middle School, and Port Neches-Groves High School.  Dr. Randall stated that "High student achievement within the district is contributed to the hard work and dedication demonstrated by teachers and administrators.  The support staff on each campus plays a vital role in providing a learning environment where students can be successful.  Parental support is another key factor in obtaining high student achievement."
