| The Texas Education Association Student Assessment
Division oversees the statewide assessment program and all Texas school
districts are required to participate which includes the Texas Assessment
of Knowledge and Skills TAKS, the State Developed Alternative Assessment
(SDAA) and the TELPAS (Reading Proficiency
Tests in English (RPTE) and Texas Observation
Protocol (TOP). In addition,
the district administers and/or participates in such tests as the
Woodcock-Munoz, Boehm, Reading Screener, TPRI, ITBS, ACT, SAT, COIN,
and Advanced Placement Testing at the high school.
PN-GISD Administrative Regulation—Extended Time
for TAKS/SDAA II Testing
Students who require additional time
to complete a state-mandated test (TAKS/SDAA II) will be allowed
a maximum of one hour beyond the end of the regular campus dismissal
time provided that the student’s parent is able to provide
transportation.

Honor Statement required for
high school students (posted 2/27/08)
TEA is requesting that high school students
sign an honor statement before taking the TAKS test beginning in
March, 2008. The following statement will be printed on the answer
sheet:
By signing my name, I agree that
I will not give or receive unauthorized assistance during the
test. I understand that giving or receiving unauthorized assistance
during the test is cheating and may result in the invalidation
of my test results.
