My name is Mindi McGreevy; it is my third year teaching here at the magnificent Port Neches-Groves High School and my fourth year teaching. I teach English IV and English I Pre-AP (Honors). I am the English Department Head at PNG High School. I also am the UIL sponsor for Ready Writing. I am extremely honored to be part of such an extraordinary campus and district. I graduated from Lamar State College-Orange in 2015 with my Associates in Education (AAT 2 or Secondary Education). I also graduated from Lamar University Magna Cum Laude in December of 2017. I obtained my Bachelors of Arts in English Language & Literature and a minor in pedagogy. I am a member of Lamar University’s English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta. To become a member of Sigma Tau Delta the undergraduate/graduate must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and the undergraduate/graduate must rank at least in the highest thirty-five percent of his/her class. During my time at Lamar University, I participated in the study abroad program. I spent several weeks in Japan studying language, culture, and history. I underwent language, literature, and culture classes at Yasuda Women’s University in Hiroshima. I am currently pursuing my master's degree in English with a specification in English education (M.Ed) at Grand Canyon University. I truly enjoy studying other societies' cultures and literature. Literature is one of my biggest passions in life, and I am honored to share my passion with my students.
