7:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Classes begin promptly at 8:15 a.m. The drop off for PNI students is at the front of the building facing Heisler Street. We ask that students arrive at school no earlier than 7:30 a.m.
Your child will not be supervised before 7:30 a.m. Students eating breakfast should report to the cafeteria. Students who aren’t eating breakfast will report directly to the gym and sit in their assigned classroom area.
Students that arrive after 8:15 a.m. will be counted tardy, and will require a parent to come inside the building and sign the child in. The student must obtain a tardy slip from the front office before being admitted to class.
PUNCTUALITY AND GOOD ATTENDANCE are essential to your child’s academic achievement.
Students are dismissed at 3:30 p.m. The pick-up for PNI students is at the front of the building facing Heisler Street. Please be patient of the traffic if picking up your child by car. Be sure your child knows whether he/she should walk, ride the bus, or be picked up in a vehicle. All students must be picked up by 3:45 p.m. Please do not enter the long drive off of Block Street. This is a bus loading and unloading zone.

Character Counts at Port Neches Intermediate
Port Neches Intermediate uses Character Counts, a character education framework that is used nation-wide. Good character is necessary to successfully and honorably meet life’s challenges. The Character Counts approach to character education doesn’t exclude anyone. That’s why the programs is based on the six ethical values that everyone can agree on – values that are not political, religious, or culturally biased. Each six weeks, PNI staff and students focus on one of six pillars of character.
