Mr. Mark Nesmith

I am an educator, artist, and musician, and am thrilled to teach at PNMS! I studied art at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX, earning my BFA in 1998. I also studied Special Education at TWU in Dallas, TX  and painting at the University of North Texas in Denton. Before joining the PNGISD I taught art, music, and special education in the Dallas ISD and the Goose Creek CISD. Combined, I have more than twenty years experience as a teacher.

I am also a practicing artist and musician. My paintings are in collections in 32 states and have been included in American Art Collector Magazine, Art Reveal Magazine, the Austin Chronicle, the Dallas Observer, Empty Easel, and more. I regularly perform music throughout Texas as well. I love to share my passion for art and music! If you'd like to learn more about me or my artwork visit www.marknesmith.com.

I look forward to many more great years teaching in the PNGISD and can't wait to see the amazing things our students create!

Watch the long running syndicated television series Texas Country Reporter on October 22, 2022 to see some of our art and music students at work at PNMS!
