I am so excited that we will be working together. Each and every child is unique and special. We will work together to unlock those strengths and become better at math and reading. We will have fun while learning all about math and reading. Parent involvement is strongly encouraged. Let's make this a team effort. Please check agenda books daily and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Reading is a skill that must be practiced daily! Please read with your child every night. This is a great way to spend quality time with your child. Taking turns with them and modeling what a good reader sounds like is very important. I do not take a grade on AR but they sure do enjoy the prizes that they can earn by getting their points.

    Math Homework

Math is a skill you can practice daily with your child.  Problem solving is what math is all about at this level.  Practice asking your child - would we add or subtract, about how much does this cost, telling time and counting money.  We will be covering all these things in class and showing them they are life skills. This will give them even more reason to succeed.
