Ridgewood Elementary, Van Buren Elementary and Port Neches Elementary school were three of nine campuses from Jefferson County to receive the recognition. According to ERP, 3,490 schools were recognized nationwide for recording high acheivement in student success.

"It is always an honor to see the hard work of our teachers, students, staff members and parents be recognized by others," Assistant Superintendent Julie Gauthier said. "We see incredible things going on in our schools everyday. To have Ridgewood, Van Buren and Port Neches Elementary receive the accolade of a high-performing campus by Education Results Partnership is just icing on the cake."

The Sacramento-based ERP Honor Roll program, sponsored by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE), is part of a national effort to identify higher-performing schools and districts that are improving student outcomes. It utilizes public school student achievement data to identify successful schools and districts.

According to the ERP, schools that receive the ERP Honor Roll distinction have demonstrated consistent high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time and a reduction in achievement gaps among student populations.

Snapshot metricts from each of the three campuses can be viewed on the ERP Honor Roll website data portal at EDRresults.org.

"I am so proud of the entire PNE community. We're all operating in the shadow of a global pandemic, yet we've managed to set our students up for success and inspire them to be the best. PNE teachers go above and beyond the call of duty. The love and care they show these kids is astounding. I can't say enough about their dedication to the success of their students. PNE students are resilient. I am so incredibly proud of their hard work. PNE is The Place To Be!"
KIMBERLY CARTER, PORT NECHES ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL

"I am very proud of our students, teachers, staff, and parents. This recognition was definitely a group effort. Regardless of the obstacles that our community faced in 2019-20, we all stayed focused on our students' success. I am blessed to be a part of this winning team."
KEVIN SCHEXNAIDER, RIDGEWOOD ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL

"I am very proud to learn about our Honor Roll designation here at Van Buren Elementary. This accomplishment is a direct result of a building filled with dedicated and passionate employees. These things require an entire staff working diligently everyday, including cafeteria workers, custodial staff, teachers, aides, and all support staff personnel. Great job, everyone!"
JOE CEGIELSKI, VAN BUREN ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL
